Richard (“Rick”) A. Hemphill started Mad River Title in 1989 and for more than 30 years has provided outstanding real estate services to Logan County and the surrounding areas.  In 2021, Rick joined forces with Martin, Browne, Hull, and Harper, PLL, which has provided outstanding real estate services to Clark County and surrounding areas for almost 150 years.

Together, Mad River Title and Martin, Browne are deeply committed to providing fast, accurate, and reliable real estate services to Logan, Shelby, Hardin, Auglaize and the surrounding counties.

    Anthony M. Edwards, Esquire

    Anthony assists with various types of real estate transactions in both our Bellefontaine and Urbana offices. Anthony joined the firm in May of 2021 as an associate. His practice areas
    center around real estate, probate and estate planning.

    Cindy Nichols, Senior Processor

    Cindy has served as a processor for real estate closings at Mad River Title Agency since 2000. She is chiefly responsible for communicating with lenders, realtors, buyers, and sellers. She obtains lien payoffs and compiles figures accurately to provide smooth and timely closings for our customers. Cindy has an Associate Degree in Business from Clark State Community College. 

    Denyail Smith, Processor

    Denyail started with Mad River Title Agency in 2019 as processor for real estate closings. Some of her responsibilities include interacting with lenders, realtors, buyers, and sellers. In doing so, she helps to provide an efficient closing experience for our customers. Prior to employment with Mad River Title Agency, she worked in the finance field for over 20 years.
